The Muscular Dystrophy Relief Fund
Founded in 2022, the Muscular Dystrophy Relief Fund™ provides relief to children affected by muscular dystrophy to promote their physical, emotional, and social well-being by providing grants to cover medical, therapeutic, adaptive equipment, and other muscular dystrophy related costs. Referrals are initially reviewed by local Tall Cedars Forests (chapters), and forwarded to the Tall Cedars’ Foundation™ to make a final determination.
Local Forests or chapter of the Tall Cedars located throughout North, Central, and South America, review initial requests from families and providers, and if they determine that relief is warranted, they will forward the request to the Tall Cedars’ Foundation to make a final determination. Approved grants are dispersed directly to the provider/vendor providing the goods and or services described in the request.

What is the Tall Cedars’ Foundation?
The Tall Cedars’ Foundation was created in 1951 by the Fraternal organization known as Tall Cedars International to raise funds for the research of muscular dystrophy, and they have donated over $19,000,000 to this worthwhile cause.
Looking towards the future and helping more kids!
Today, the Tall Cedars’ Foundation has evolved and expanded our mission to provide direct relief to children and families affected by muscular dystrophy in our local communities to help cover medical treatments, therapeutic care, adaptive equipment and more through our new Muscular Dystrophy Relief Fund (MDRF) which will provide limited grants to cover muscular dystrophy related assistance for services and equipment not covered by traditional medical insurance.
What is the Symbolism of the White Rose? The Masonic tenets of charity, relief, service, and philanthropy are ingrained in every Tall Cedar and Cedarette, as evidenced by the wearing of the white rose, which serves as a reminder that, in addition to all the colorful fun and celebration, Tall Cedars have a serious purpose, which is to support our foundation whose mission is to provide direct relief to assist children and families affected by muscular dystrophy and other neuromuscular diseases.
The rose was adopted as a symbol because one of the local chapters or ‘Forests” sold roses at local events to raise funds in support of the foundation’s mission to help children. Moreover, it has become a symbol of hope for the children and families we serve.
